2 CONT John Featherstone (1790-1864) and Jane Hodgson (1798-1882) were married

2 CONT and their five children emigrated in 1829 to Upper Canada. Their eldest son
2 CONT was offered only a penny a day to work in the lead mines. After spending
2 CONT the winter with John's sister Jane and family they purchased a farm in
2 CONT Drumquin, Upper Canada now part of Milton, Ontario. Many of his descendants
2 CONT still live in the community although the family farm is now a golf course.
